Celebrating 40 years of creative advertising.

Brogan & Partners

In 1984, Marcie Brogan, along with her creative partner, Anna Kabot, left Doner Advertising to produce their best creative idea to date: a new kind of ad agency. One that was not only owned by women, but led by creative minds. With that, they founded Brogan Kabot, which later became Brogan & Partners. Because of its unique culture and leadership, it was the first agency of its kind… and it was the beginning of many firsts for Brogan & Partners.

I’m privileged to be part of this wonderful advertising agency, working as the creative director for the past two decades. I worked in the 80s with the company’s first creative director and co-founder, the brilliant Anna Kabot, and was mentored in the 90s by the second: the quick-witted Bonnie Folster. And even though Marcie led the agency in an account role, her lightning-fast creative mind delighted everyone near her, as she could pull ideas and puns out of thin air.

In 2017, the agency leadership and ownership transitioned to business whiz, Ellyn Davidson, who started as an intern in 1994. With Ellyn at the helm, the agency continued to grow and expand its reputation throughout Michigan. And most of our new business nowadays comes from word of mouth and referrals from happy clients. Our mission to “make a positive difference in people’s lives” speaks to the kind of work we do, and how we treat our clients and our employees. Our culture is truly one of a kind.

So, as we celebrate 40 years of true client partnership with results-generating, award-winning work, we wanted to honor some of our favorite campaigns over the last four decades, along with the clients who helped make them possible.
