Is non-traditional the new traditional?
By now, if you have been to a college campus or an event (concerts, festivals, sports) you have witnessed Sidewalk Advertising, Poster Advertising, Street Teams or possibly even Projection Advertising. Everywhere you turn there seems to be some new, exciting way to be reminded of or introduced to a brand message. Ads nowadays have been everywhere from parking stripes to graffiti in alleyways.
With this constant exposure it seems many people are less surprised by the placement of such advertising and more inclined to be on the lookout for it. This begs the question, is non-traditional media really all that “non-traditional” anymore? Has it now become *gasp* traditional?! It is an inevitable change. It wasn’t long ago banner advertising was the exciting new medium and now it is expected to be in almost all campaigns.
I’m not sure how this makes you feel, but it makes me wonder what’s coming next. What new forms of media are we going to be able to offer you tomorrow?

I think there should be an equal amount of non traditional and traditional. People want things which can be measured. So traditional comes to mind but when budget cuts happen and the organization needs a creative way to get there message across. Then the New Media is on the new horizon.
The only difference between new and old is how the signal is delivered. There is a two way conversation in New Media and with the old ways it is very one way.
Our society has changed from analog to digital and is now in a 24/7 news cycle. Not everyone can adapt or want to. These changes make us both needing our old values and trying to understand the new frontier and the start ups which are changing our communication methods.
