Joseph Tart, Associate, Senior Art Director

Joseph Tart is passionate about his work. Whether he’s designing the front cover for the Environmental Health Perspectives (EHP) journal, managing the publishing staff, painting in his free time, or even just drinking a latte (he’s obsessed with them), Joseph shows his enthusiasm. His energy and talent have earned him numerous awards. His care and leadership with staff make him an invaluable asset to our North Carolina office.

As the Senior Art Director for the publishing division, Joseph oversees the Environmental Health Perspectives journal. No small task. But familiar. He’s worked on EHP since 1993.

Before Brogan, Joseph’s design experience included award-winning work for everything from logos and newsletters to directories and magazines. He’s worked for publishers, tech companies and other marketing firms.

Joseph earned a BFA from the Memphis College of Art. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Furman University. He continues to take classes in art and science.

In his free time, Joseph paints and eats pears.

Joseph is married and has three sons.
