Habitat For Humanity Appoints New Board Member

[Birmingham, MI] - Deidre Bounds, managing partner at Brogan & Partners Convergence Marketing, was recently appointed to the board of Habitat fro Humanity Detroit. She will be applying her marketing and non-profit experience toward achieving Habitat's overall mission to work in partnership with the community and families in need to build simple, decent, affordable housing in the state of Michigan.

"The Habitat is a key player in revitalizing Detroit neighborhoods," said Deidre Bounds. "I'm honored to be a part of the Habitat team and ready lend a hand in anyway I can to help build livable communities."

Since 1986, Habitat for Humanity Detroit has helped to house over 180 families in the city of Detroit. In spring 2002, we celebrated the dedication of our 100th home. In September 2003, 16 new homes were built during Blitz Build '03 as part of Habitat Detroit's Building on Faith celebration. The summer of 2005 saw 30 new homes built in one week during Jimmy Carter Work Project 2005.
