Brogan & Partners Tourism Advertising Recognized
by Nation's Tourism Directors…Again.
[Birmingham, MI] - At the Annual Conference
of State Tourism Directors held in Minneapolis last
week, Michigan tourism advertising was honored as
the "Best State Television Advertising"
by the National Council of State Tourism Directors
at their annual Mercury Awards presentation.
Travel Michigan submitted the entry for most effective
television advertising. The advertising is judged
annually for both creativity and results. According
to the Travel Michigan entry, the $3.4 million advertising
campaign created by Brogan & Partners for the
state's 2005 promotional campaign generated the
highest number of consumer inquiries ever recorded
by the state; it generated 890,000 incremental visitors
and a minimum of $165 million in incremental visitor
spending.
"We are thrilled that our creative and strategic
work on behalf of Travel Michigan again has earned
Michigan the respect of the national tourism industry,"
said Marcie Brogan. "By entering our work,
Travel Michigan was clearly pleased with the results
they received also. While the respect of peers is
nice, results for the taxpayers are even better.
We have always done our best to deliver the highest
quality work for the state, and once again our efforts
paid dividends for the taxpayers."
This is the third time in four years that Michigan's
tourism advertising, created by Brogan & Partners,
has received a Mercury Award for both creativity
and effectiveness by the National Association of
State Tourism Directors.
