Can I get a do over?
What's for sale?
To promote Frigidaire's new Gallery dishwasher, the company has invited people to post their regrets—and desires for a do-over—on Facebook. Vote for the best do-over and you have a chance to win the dishwasher. What's more, for very vote, Frigidaire will donate a dollar to Save the Children.

Like or Unlike
Here's what we like most about this promotion: those donations to Save the Children. We also like that Frigidaire isn't just giving the charity a cursory nod to promote its products. Save the Children is actually all over the Frigidaire Facebook site, showing us that there is a true partnership going on here. We also like that Jennifer Garner, the sweetest star on earth, is the spokesperson for this promotion. Now the contest itself? That's a bit of a stretch. The idea is that the Gallery dishwasher "gets it right the first time," so there's no need for a do-over. Then we're supposed to be entertained by contestants' tales of woe. Here are a couple of the finalists: "Going on a date with my husband with my skirt tucked into my panties." and "During my first experience with valet parking. . . I stepped out of the car while it was still in drive and my date was still inside the car." Meh. But for donations to a charity we care about, we'll overlook the blah and go ahead and vote. All is forgiven Frigidaire—especially if that dishwasher is really as good as you say.
